Services

Mental Health Counseling

The Karuna concept of compassion is at the core of our actions as providers to work with you collaboratively. Attuning to your entirety allows us to address the choices, perceptions, experiences, and resources available in the therapeutic process. This process is ultimately about tapping into your inherent capacity to heal. Therapy involves letting go and resolving, adapting and adjusting, accepting and integrating as you evolve along your journey. Our clinically trained and certified team offers expertise in a variety of modalities to help you engage in meaningful change in your life.

We offer children, adults, couples, marriage, and family sessions. Sessions can be scheduled for 30, 50, or 90 minutes in length, based on your needs. Virtual and In-person sessions are available.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is gentle manipulation of soft tissues through a variety of techniques releasing tense “knots” and increasing circulation and flexibility throughout the body. Thus, creating a sense of lightness, relaxation and ease.

Yoga

Yoga is derived from a Sanskrit word meaning to yoke; to connect; to unite. It is the connection of breath to movement, mind to body, and internal experience to the external world. Yoga at Karuna House will guide you through a series of intentionally selected postures, breathwork, and meditation to strengthen your relationship with self and build resilience from within.

Yoga Therapy for Trauma and PTSD

Yoga Therapy at Karuna House combines the ancient wisdom practices of various Yoga lineages. Yoga therapy encourages clients to take an active role in their mental, emotional, and physical health to empower their own healing process. By methodically weaving prescribed yoga postures, meditation, and chakra cleansing, clients can develop the tools they need to address issues of anxiety, depression, trauma, and fear. We offer individual and group Yoga Therapy.

Mindfulness & Meditation

Mindfulness can be defined as awareness of the present experience with acceptance. Awareness of our thoughts, emotions, environment, physical senses, and our present experience: attention is focused on the here and now, not on the past or the future. Mindfulness training will involve meditation training, as well as concepts as other ways of practicing mindfulness in movement and day-to-day life.

Sound Bath Healing

Sound baths work with specific tones and frequencies for healing of the body, mind, and emotions. It is a gentle way to achieve deep relaxation and meditative states. It’s a very inclusive experience because all participants need to do is listen to benefit. The relaxed state that is created offers the opportunity for a reduction in anxiety and stress, pain relief, improved sleep, better mood, lower heart rate, better focus and clarity and so much more. Participants will be asked to lie on their backs or can remain in a seated position during this activity.
